As I was preparing to place the order for 3/16" mil spec dacron,
I discovered smaller... .125" kevlar with dacron jacket.
There is also .075" diameter of the same stuff... both with
the same tensile strength and working load rating as the
mil-dacron. A bit more expensive... $0.14 per foot.
But it's close to the same size as my insulated antenna wire,
and light enough that I may be able to pull it into the tree
directly, using my "game tracker" string from the bow and arrow.
Saving that intermediate step will avoid a major hassle.
So, I'm gonna try the small stuff and see what happens.
Stealth is the name of the game. AND, I realized
that I can eliminate the end insulators, as well, for a low
power installation.
Will report robustness after the test.
Thanks again to all who replied.
