I have a 55ft crankup and use a bit of spray on silicone lube on the rails.
It only seems right to lube something that moves. Only thing I notice is
that there appears to be a bit of dirt accumulating on the spots where it is
lubed. Bit since I plan to tilt the mess over for maintaining ants, rotators
and lubing pulleys it will be simple to wipe it down and relube.

caveats:not an engineer (but know how to do stuff), have my extra and know
the code (and still use it), haven't seen anyone else post but bet many of
us lube stuff just 'cause it moves'
