the LMR 400 is the best coax to install PL-259, not the flexible , that is a
little problematic for the soft jacket.
to install a pl 259 i just cut 3/4 inch jacket-braid-foil-insulator leaving
only the center, take care the center is aluminum with copper clad, leave
clean , cut 1/2 inch jacket not the braid, check for no short in the foil
insulator and center, install the conector , get a vise grip and tight the
connector at maximum , later use your iron and you are done.
is faster to install connectors than any other coax,
