Should not be a problem soldering PL259 to LMR400. But use a really sharp
knife to cut the jacket. It is very hard.

Fellow Tower Talkians:

I recently bought 100 feet of LMR 400 to feed a 2m/400 vertical on top of my
tower at 70 feet. Going to have to cut it to feed it through the wall and
solder on a new PL259 once I get it through the wall feed through. Any
problems soldering it, getting LMR 400 into a PL259? Been using RG213 in
the past. I had heard rumors that soldering LMR400 could be a pain?
