The way I got my HG70D off the box truck upon delivery was by having one of
those tilt bed car hauling trucks (Jerdan?)
back up to the box trailer and use the winch to drag it onto the flat bed.
After pulling away and backing into my
drive, he tilted the bed and and slowy pulled away gently laying the tower
on the ground. I had one end tied to a small
tree to prevent it from moving with the tilt bed. After the base was ready,
I asked six or seven friends to help carry it to
the site. By using short lenghts of 1" steel pipe inserted through the tower
four guys on each side made it easy to carry
the 1000#+ tower. A couple six packs was their treat. (Cheapskate?) yea.
