Unbelievable.

That's not the first time that has happened. I had to change gears out on
my 1022's many years ago. You would think they would have learned from
their mistake!

Subject: [TowerTalk] TIC 1122 Fixed

On October 31, 2006 I posted a note to the reflector about an alignment
issue that I was having with the TIC Ring Rotor model 1122-E. I am happy
to update all on TowerTalk that the issue is resolved.

Carl, from TIC RING, was able to reproduce the problem that I was having in
his engineering shop. Once they were able to see the problem the cause and
the fix were determined in a matter of minutes. The issue was caused by
the incorrect gears being used in the 1122E motor causing over rotation.
The gear used was from the 1032 motor assembly. Carl sent me a new motor
that I installed and aligned this morning. Now everything is working as
advertised. The mechanical assembly location matches the digital readout
and the analog preset pot headings. EXCELLENT !!

Thanks to Carl and TIC RING for their quick attention and outstanding
service.

Bruce - N1LN
