Mike,

I've had excellent long term success with Ham-IV style rotors by replacing the 
stock terminal strip screws with stainless screws.  I've never waterproofed the 
connections.

I've never had a moisture related failure of the connections after over 20 
years of using this technique on multiple Ham-IV style rotors.
