Interesting - when I looked at it in Google Earth, a portion of the area was
"fuzzed out" - but I was able to see the dish very nicely.

This is an oh, by the way, announcement:
The earlier TT post about the Interior Hardware from the Jamesburg Earth
Station should also be supplemented with the information that the site
itself, With 30 meter dish, is coming for sale.
It is 60 acres, of the finest, dreamiest natural land god ever made, a short
drive to Big Sur Coastline, and Monterey Peninsula. The 20,000 sq ft CO
building that the dish fed, is being remodeled to become a residence. The
building, apparently was built to Cold War Specs for nearby H bomb blasts...
3 ft thick concrete walls, 2 ft thick conc ceiling, 5 ft thick conc floor,
and no windows
If you needed a place to keep and ride your horses, in addition to your
antennas, this would be the place.
If you were a consortium of Radio Astronomers looking for a Dish, or build
an Institute, this would be the place.
If you were Bill Gates, or Richard Branson and you needed peace, beauty and
quiet, to kick back, walk to the Winery next door, or to contemplate how to
make your next Billion, this would be the place.
If you were Bill gates and needed a remotely located, Bomb proof building,
with 600 gbit fiber, back up power, etc, to put your Corporate server farms
in, this would be the Place.
If you are local hams, new EME enthusiasts, this is the place.
If you wanted to plant a huge HF antenna tower farm, this MIGHT be the
place, though in most directions the horizon is elevated, 5-10 degrees.

It could also be a major Astrophysics, etc Institute....The
Dish/Tower/Antenna works, more or less.. certainly for Moonbounce, if not
Radio Astronomy in the future.
