Well, about 4 years with the BigIR has been nothing but good contacts and
trouble-free operation.  Like any vertical, they work well with LOTS of
radials (I think I put down 48) -- each 33 ft long and held in place with a
U shaped "landscape pin" -- the grass grew over them in 2-3 weeks and
there's no trace of them now. No need to use a shovel-edger-trencher with
this... I ran 1.5 inch plastic conduit (the gray stuff) about 18 inches
underground with a weather-proof "entrance" connector at the top. Rented the
trencher locally for about $25 for a half-day -- too about 30 minutes to go
70 feet. And, the whole thing is very neighbor friendly.

My vote -- BigIR -- great antenna, great performance !
