I missed the original posting, but on 7x19 cable (and anything small
enough to do by hand) it does not matter what tool does the crimping.
Hand or hydraulic, it's the same thing. The compression of the sleeve
around the cable is what matters.

There are more affordable brands of swaging tools than Nicopress or
National Telephone Company. Be sure any tool you get is adjustable. If
it is not, you may not be able to get a solid crimp out of it at all.

Be sure you check each and every crimp with a "Go/No-Go" guage. These
are small stamped piece of metal that have several slots. Each is
designed for a specific size sleeve. A crimp will either fit into it or
not. There is no "almost".

If it will not, then it's not safe and needs to be recrimped. If it
doesn't fit after a recrimp, then adjust your tool.

If you cannot adjust your tool, destroy it.

A couple other notes:

Be sure you use a thimble in the loop at the end.
Be sure the end of the cable sticks out of the end of the last crimp
by a bit.
