Subject: Ladder Line Length
Referring to a question some time in the past regarding ladder line length, I
can offer this bit of info.
There are some lengths you want to avoid depending on the band or bands you
operate. A good short discussion of this for Extended Double Zepp antennas can
be found at www.bloomington.in.us/~wh2t/zepp. Specifically, for 160 M avoid
35-60, 170-195 or 210-235 feet and in particular, 130 and 260 feet. For 80 M,
34-90 feet, 90-102 or 160-172 feet, especially 66, 135, and 190 feet. For 40 M
it is 42-52, 73-83, 112-123 and 145-155 feet and especially bad are 32, 64, 96,
or 128 feet. Hope this helps.
