The interlaced beam suffer from interaction from the elements of other 
bands.  When you are on 15m the 20m directors look a little like a 
reflector.  So, the gain is less for this type of tribander on most bands 
compared to a monobander with the same boom length.

I think the current crop of "3-monobanders on a common boom" no-trap
tribanders
are probably a wash with a monobander on an equivalent boom.  Trapped
antennas
are another matter.
