I think you need a pellet gun. Just don't hit your antenna!
We have tons of woodpeckers around here. They destroyed the post that holds
our porch up and frequently peck on the fascia of the house. The have pecked
large holes in the screens on the windows. They can be destructive little
devils.
Critters are the price you pay for living in the country (Coyotes, possums,
jackrabbits, snakes and spiders.) We have a family of Harris Hawks and they
sit on my antennas and poop all over everything down below. I'll take that
over some of the problems that others have anytime. Last year I irrigated
and a flock of about 30 Wood Ducks landed in my back yard and stayed there
for nearly an hour. Last week it was a covey of quail.
Maybe just leave the pellet gun at the store and enjoy the antics of the
critters. I doubt the woodpeckers are going to damage your antennas. I
wouldn't worry about your uncommonly hot temperatures either. It will be
cold enough this winter for you to wish for a little hot weather! We only
get about one month of winter here but it only takes one cold spell and I'm
ready for our 95 - 100 degrees again.
Keep smilin'
