Guys think about what you are saying SWR 8:1 !! So what does the tuner
do? , tune the antenna ? or Presents a match for the radio to operate ?
If you tune an antenna and have an SWR of 8:1 how much do you think
radiates ?

The bottom line here is that just because you have a tuner does not mean you
have efficiency.
Any good tuner will tune that windom, but with SWRs over 3.5:1 your not
doing much to get a signal out.
