I'm planning to put up a few guyed Rohn H50's with galvanized 3/16"
steel cables and a pivoting-pin base.

My first question is: how do you put the reccomended thimble in the guy
rings? The holes are too small for the 3/16" thimble and just about
everything else I tried to attach to it.

Second, how much guy tension is needed? Worst case I will be putting up
a 2 foot grid dish at 44ft. I've looked everywhere for guy tensions and
everyone just says to get them kind-of-tight. I need to know a better
number than that; some of these require a permit and I need to calculate
the sheer load on the poles that I want to use as the anchors.

I plan to put two of these on rooftops, and plan to use schedule 80
pipes or similar bolted to the side of the building as anchor points to
get the guys up off the rooftop so we can still walk around up there.

Thanks guys!

Marlon
