Depending on what antenna(s) you have on your tower, it may be resonate on
80m, possibly causing some problems on that band. If a vertical 20' from
your tower is your only option for 40m and 80m, I would go for it!

How bad would the interaction be between a raised vertical (BigIR III w/80 m
coil) and a 45-50 ft tower that is 20ish feet away. Vertical will be apx
10'
above ground with resonant radials on 40 and 80 (2 each)...I know ground
mount
with 60+ radials is far better but this is all I can do for now. Will I be
wasting my time? Suggestions?
