        There should be one  bolt on the side. Take that off and stick your 
little finger in there. If  there's oil on your finger, it's full enough. 
If not, put some more in until it  starts to dribble out of the fill hole. 
That's it. 
 
        In amateur use the gearbox  is seldom in use so you could run it 
dry for awhile with no damage done. Prop  pitches are commonly run dry and 
suffer no ill effects. 
 
        And I hope you used some  cable lubricant like PreLube on the 
cables as long as you're at it.
