Don't paint it if it's galvanized!!! Use a professional-grade
galvanizing
spray or brush-on. Properly applied, it works very
well and lasts a long time. It's not cheap, but you won't
have to re-do the job and it doesn't flake or chip off like paint will.

in/near a large city, you might be able to find a local distributor
of Aervoe products.
