There are at least three variations of the 83-1SP. I believe the silver
pin, silver body version is the one Bob mentioned. Although it has an
"Astroplate" shell (as it's stronger than brass/silver) and a Phenolic
insulator. Not sure what Astroplate is but it seems to be a hard Nickel
variant. The 83-1SP-15RFX an 83-1SP-1050 do not have silver bodies, nor
silver shells.
The Amphenol 83-886 has a silver pin, silver body, and Teflon insulator
although I believe the shell is Astroplate, again for good connector
strength. I've found these to be more difficult to locate as many vendors
don't keep a normal inventory of this connector. Anyway, that's been my
take on this very confusing product from Amphenol.
