Dave, I used a telephone pole to support a 20M 3 3element beam for several years. I used a large angle iron(don't remenber the size since it has been over 30 years!!) lag bolted to the pole and shimmed to be vertical. The support mast was U-bolted to that and the rotor was at the top of the mast.
