Very well! Polygon rod can be purchased (in quantity) with a UV stabilized
option - so weather is not a problem.
Large stations like K3LR, W3LPL and others have been using Polygon rod
guying material for at least 25 years without issues. AM broadcast stations
have used it even longer. Polygon rod requires special handling during
installation and must be inspected more often than EHS steel wire guy
systems to insure proper mechanical integrity.
Polygon rod is significantly less expensive when compared to Phillystran
guyed tower installations, however larger quantities of Polygon rod must be
ordered to achieve this cost savings.
Short length Nuplaglas rods are used in the near field of FM and TV
broadcast antennas and also when insulating towers from EHS steel guying
systems at the tower.

How well does Polyrod stand up to UV? In general, fiberglass doesn't do
well out in the weather with out protection.
