| Ditto! I use LMR-400 exclusively for all long HF runs. Good stuff, if a
little harder to prep for terminations than RG-8 is.
When shipped by UPS or FEDEX the vendors ship 1000 ft as two reels of 500
ft. So far that has been a convenience, not a hardship.

Save your money. JEFA tech for LMR 400. Been using it for years on my
super station. Good stuff and cheap. $399/1000 ft spool.

I know we have Tribander reports and Vertical antenna reports, but has
anyone ever tried to do one on coax? Do the specs and manufacturers
change too often for it to be worthwhile? I am looking at purchasing a
500 foot spool of the DXE-400MAX coax from DX Engineering. I have read
the specs and compared them on paper to many of the other low loss
coaxes and they seem to compare favorably spec for spec. My question is
how can they sell it so reasonably. I know they put out good stuff and I
have been extremely happy with what I have gotten from them in the past
but was always taught if it appears to be too good to be true......
