I got my HDX-555 installed on Friday and the installers placed the base bolts
in the third hole up from the bottom rather than the bottom holes as
recommended by US Towers. My question is if it is safe to stand the tower up
vertically with the bolts in the third holes up rather than the bottom holes?
Once I get the tower up vertically I can put the bolts in the bottom holes at
that point as instructed in the manual. I would think that having the bolts up
higher would not increase the pressure on the winch? Maybe even decrease
it?Thanks,BradW5BK

I am looking at the base of my HDX-555 and am thinking that, with the tower pivoting at the third bolt up, the protrusion at the rear *might* collide with the bottom of the raising fixture as the tower gets close to vertical.
