Only the coil of coax with no ferrite is a VERY POOR choke because it is inductive, not resistive. Inductance can resonate with the rest of the coax in the run and increase the shield current rather than decrease it. Study my RFI tutorial for a detailed explanation. k9yc.com/RFI-Ham.pdf
