There are many unknown variables that woul
d affect the answer.
Generally, the dimensions of a 2
m antenna are about 12% larger than a marine antenna, so right off the
bat, you're going to have a high SWR. A balun is unlikely to help.
Unless you have constraints like, for example, needing a marine band
antenna and only being able to erect a single antenna, I can't recommend
this. Buy or build an amateur band antenna.
