I also love the OWA designs and flat SWR.  All of my homebrew antenna are
designed this way.

My 15m boom is 3" diameter x .125 wall.  Perhaps M2 makes a heavy duty
version?

Hi Gary

As Bill K4XS say, the 15M6DX boom is not strong, is just .065 wall and
really 
not good for a 44ft boom. 

My boom 15M6 boom broken in half where the clamps support it to the mast to 
boom plate, caused but strong winds and vibration.

Then I bought the HD boom and the antenna looks very well. 

Maybe you can add just a tube over it in the section that will be attached
to 
the tower.

I have 15 mts and 20 mts M2 yagi´s. This were my first monobands yagi. After

that I purchased antennas from G0KSC, the actual owner of Force12, and I
really 
love this flat SWR antennas!  Once you operate with a flat SWR antenna
across 
the ENTIRE band, you will want to have always this kind of antennas
