Jim,
Sad indeed. 
You appear to have more information about the events leading up to the fall.
I have heard nothing as to the cause.
So can you fill in the details for me? What was Milt doing that caused the
fall? Did he have a heart attack, stroke, did his safety gear fail, did
something on the tower fail, was he careless, etc.?

## The sad part is....this was a preventable accident.  This is why 
you dont free climb a tower. You should be tethered to the tower at all
times.  Either use a safety cable / rail  running the entire length of the
tower,
like used on commercial towers, and use  at least use  two lanyards...
to climb past guy wires, guy rings etc.   The .375 inch  EHS  safety cable
running the length of a tower is cheap to install.
