Usually a house is in the center of the lot:)

You can have an anchor distance less than 80% however not this short and
especially not with Rohn 25 as described in W1KSZ's post. I think that the
incorrect bolts had nothing to do with the failure.

Not quite, but close..
100x100 ft is about 1/4 acre, so that puts the guys 70 ft out (assuming 
they were in the corners of the lot, and the tower was in the center).

That is, the guy anchors distance was 60% of the tower height, a guy 
angle of about 60 degrees. That's about the minimum distance recommended 
- Getting closer puts a pretty big load on the guy when you have any 
wind loads.
