I have had several hits over the past 15 years here at the N1UR QTH. 2
direct tower hits and 2 proximity events. Its not a matter of if, but when,
on the next one. I have found that with coax, rotor cable, and many control
cables disconnected, the damage is less to not occurring for proximity.
Power off on all external systems. But with a direct hit, stuff jumps,
connected directly or not. Its part of the game in my opinion.
