Online Metals has 7/16 6061-T6 tube with a .065 wall which should hold up
well however Rich may not like the $31 per 6ft pricing. Personally I would
not like to fly to Bonaire only to find aluminum laying on the ground. I
am not sure what grade aluminum that Hy-Gain sells with a .028 wall. If it
is a good aluminum perhaps inserting the Hy-Gain tip with a short 3/8 tube,
which is more available, would sufficiently strengthen it.
