Thank you gentlemen! I appreciate your information and advice. This hardline
is old, about 35 years or so, but it still looks good on the TDR and besides,
I'll be using it for a long run at HF at my remote station. Thanks again!

One such cable I looked up (Commscope) weighs 2.3 pounds per foot. That would
be 1150 pounds for 500 feet.
You'll need some help to move this around.
Minimum bend radius with multiple bends is 15 inches. That might work when the
factory is spooling it but re-coiling it after usage will need a bigger
diameter.
My 7/8" Prodelin hardline coils up nicely at about 5-6 ft diameter. The 1 5/8"
may be a bit more.

The local club is replacing the hardline to one of the repeaters. It is 1 5/8",
air dielectric (we think) and a little over 500' long. I have a use for it! HI
I'm just wondering how (un)flexible it is--how small can it be coiled--and how
heavy is it? Anybody have any experience with it? A tower service company is
doing the work and all I have to do is haul it off to the (my) junkpile! I'm
hoping this is my lucky day!
Thank you!
