Subject: [TowerTalk] Tic Ringrotor Question

<Good Afternoon,
<Anyone know the secret to getting a Tic Ringrotor not to bind or skip? Working
on Model CX-16/22 for weeks and can't get the darn thing to rotate more than 40
degree's before it binds or the ring will not mesh in the motor?Always' too
tight or too much play <and the the gear wont mesh with the ring.
<Frustrating.
<Thanks

## buddy had FOUR of them on his 175 ft rohn 45 tower years ago.
nothing but grief. Finally figured it out. On the ground, with one
tape measure running N–S, and second tape measure running E-W.....
low and behold, the ring was exactly .25 inch out of round !! IE:
extreme N-S dimension was .25 inch more than the E-W dimension.
These were model 1024. And all 4 of em had the same identical
issue.
