The 2012 Subaru I have to change the low beam bulbs you have to jack up the
corner of the car (and why replace just 1, they have been in there the same
amount of time), remove wheel, remove fender liner just to get to where you
can see the cover that has the bulb behind it. Even then it is quite a
reach to touch it, and of course you can't see and reach it at the same
time. But there is another way. This only requires you to remove the front
bumper cover (by removing about 2 dozen connectors, some screws, some
plastic plugs), then remove the light housings. You can then replace all of
the front bulbs easily. While you have them out is a good time to buff of
the hazziness on the front cover. Not a bad day's work by this time. But
now you get to put it all back together agajn. Hope you replaced the
regular bulbs with LEDs so it will be long enough for you forget what it
took to do it the first time.
