Happy Memorial Day weekend!
My old Cushcraft A50-5S has done a fair job over the past 30 years but it just
lost an element and needs other repairs too so I'm thinking of replacing it
with an antenna that has a little more gain. The maximum boom length I'm
considering is 24'. What are your thoughts about the following 6-meter Yagi's:
---M2 6M5XHB: 5-elements on a 18' Boom but I'm not excited about it's hefty
price of $610 nor it's single U-Bolt element to boom attachment. ---Hy-Gain
VB-66DX: 6-element on a 24' Boom with a price of $300. Question: does this
antenna require the Boom to be guyed? What's your favorite 6-Meter Yagi? Thanks
