The 290 mix sounds very interesting. Will have to check it out.
regarding nail polish don't laugh but I use it a lot for lightly sealing
small screws etc. A long time ago I use to mix acetone and polystyrene
and mix it up until I made my own version of Q-dope....works good but
not robust enough for raw outdoor exposure. But it and nail polish work
fine for locking small plunger screws used in uW cavity filters.

What you want is "wicking" thread locker - mine is 290 Green, but it
doesn't show up on Loctite's site. It's readily available, though,
made by Henkel Adhesives.

Why not nail polish? Historically, you'd use glyptal, which is still
made, but the surface has to be grease/oil free. What about model
airplane cement (acetone solvent?)
At work (JPL) we use a variety of polymerics for "staking", but I
suspect Solithane 113 has handling and other issues (7 day cure at
room temp?) that make it inappropriate
