Ten years later than you, Joe, my novice/technician rig was a Globe Scout 680A
xmtr and a National NC-109 rcvr with an Ameco cconverter to shift 6m receive to
40m on the National receiver. Also, a Gonset Communicator II for 2m AM/MCW. I
used to buy the xmt crystals for the station at an WWII electronics surplus
store on Arch Street in Philadelphia.
Good memory but ancient history at this point.
