I'm not familiar with White Scotch 88, but I can certainly vouch for
Black Scotch 88 and Black Scotch 33+ which I use interchangeably on
everything inside and outside. In 31 years at my qth with a temperature
range of -20F to 108 F, both tape has stood up very well to every kind
of weather plus the UV rays.
Either tape is a bit tough to remove after several years as it gets hard
in the Winter and a little "melty" at the peak of Summer with some
condensation underneath the tape, but that's not a problem. The
connectors are always shiny and bright and the connections unaffected.
A good sharp exacto knife or boxcutter blade makes short work of getting
the tape off the coax and connectors.
You can buy these Scott tapes in packs of 10 on Amazon for ~ $4.80 each
- not cheap but a steal for how reliable it is over time. Some of the
tapes are made in Mexico so you might want to buy them as soon as
possible before they raise the price to recover the cost of the
imbecilic tariffs.

Scotch 88 is thicker (8.5 mils) than standard electric tape and it
sticks in
very cold weather. I have used Scotch 88 in 0° Chicago days and it
does
indeed work in cold weather so it became the only tape that I bought.
It
only comes in the color black and it is highly resistant to UV rays.

I do the same. But I also do a final wrap with white Scotch 88. This
reflects sunlight. Black coax seal (and anything else black) can get
very
hot in the summer and change.
