I've thought about using two meshes on the surface of the ground spaced some distance apart.  Sweep the frequency while measuring the complex impedance between them.

I know for a fact that my rocky hillside lot doesn't have uniform soil (there are rocks down there the size of a small car), so doing multiple tests with the two meshes in different positions might actually be capable of generating some sort of profile with the right modeling software.

OpenAI Codex has become scary competent .... I wonder if it could come up with something like that.
