I have a design that I built up - it is based on a Cushcraft 617-6B boomer.

The Cushcraft 617-6B is 6 elements on a 34 ft boom. Several years ago
there was a 7 ele modification to the 617-6B that was published in
one of the conference proceedings - and it looked very good.

I was going to build the 7 ele design but I decided that I really
wanted to go with a OWA type design that uses a 50 ohm feed point
so I ended up with 8 elements on a 34 ft boom. I used a 34 foot boom
because that is what I had - the Cushcraft 617-6B.

Here is the YO file.

K5TR 8 ele 6m yagi

404.0000 1.7500 22.2500 21.8442

Match: 1 0.5000 1.0000 18.1250 0.5000 0.0 50.0 0.0808
Bracket: 4 1.0000 3.5000 1.0000 0.1250

It seems to work and I am happy with it.

I also have a M2 6M7JHV and I find it to be a very good
antenna - a bit light weight but it has been up for 3 years
now and I would buy another one if I needed another 30' boom yagi
and did not want to build one.

I am still pondering what I would like to do to improve my
6 meter setup and I have pretty much decided that I will
put up 2 or 3 fixed yagis that have slightly wider beam widths.
I think these yagis will be on about 12 foot booms - and will
scaled down versions of the 6 element OWA designs that I use
on 10 and 20 meters.

I will still keep the 8 element up as the high rotary yagi.
