In the Fall 2m Sprint, W3SO FN00 had 180 QSOs, worked 59 grids, for a
claimed score of 10620 points. W3TEF was the operator.
Soapbox: The band was wide open. It was like a HF SS contest. W3SO averaged
45 QSOs per hour, and there was activity for the entire contest period. The
best DX was into EM41. Many VEs were on and some from far north grids.
Congratulations to the Southeastern VHF Society for getting the word out.
This activity is getting well known. At times there the calling stations
were at least three deep.
Thanks for the QSOs and W3SO will be in the 222 MHz Fall Sprint next Tuesday.
