Wow...what a day on the uwaves! It was a cold start in the
30deg range as we left the qth, but the wx was all uphill from
there. Lots of activity in many directions from FM08us.
Condx seemed poor early, but got better as the sun warmed
up the medium a little. What a thrill running bands thru 10G
with so many good operators, all helping each other out, and
making it easy for guys to work each other. It was a pleasant
surprise to find all the gear still working after a long hiatus
(since the Sept contest!).

We called and listened to the NW and heard lots of 8-landers,
but most were working each other. We landed a few on 903/
1296 out that way, and it was great to hear of all the activity
from NE8I et al. Good show, gentlemem!

Many tnx to K1DS/R, N3FTI/R, W3HMS, WA3PTV,
W4SW, and W4SHG for hauling the gear out the the hills,
giving out lots of QSOs to myself and others. Tnx also to
all those stations who have added capability, making it
easier to work more bands and QSOs. This uwave stuff
is really getting to be loads of fun...even without a band-
opening! Keep up the good work!

It was a wonderful ending to the sprint to complete a
24GHz QSO with W3HMS with just 3 minutes left to go.
John was 'bone-smoking' LOUD at my end on SSB, and
full-quieting on FM (dx=79.6mi).

Here's what we were able to scare up on the bands...

    Band QSOs QSO pts. Mults.

    TOTALS 74 74 44

                          Claimed score = 3,256

Many tnx for all the activity.
Hpe to hear everyone in the June contest, if not sooner...
Listen for the weak ones...

Tnx & 73,
Bill W3IY FM08us
