With HUGE thanks to Scott W0KU, Scott W0KVA, and John N0WBW of the W0KVA
multi-op team, WY0X/R will be roving Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, and
Kansas with the following bands:
50 MHz - 100W 2x W0KVA square loops
144 MHz - 160W 4 element beam
222 MHz - 10W W0KVA square loop
432 MHz - 50W 12 element beam
902 MHz - 10W 15 element beam
1.2 GHz - 10W 2 stacked 18 element beams, single fed
10 GHz - 2W 2' dish
Current tenative plans are to start out in DN70, northbound into DN71
then East to cover DN81, DN91, DN80 and DM90. Following that, I'll turn
south into DM89, a jaunt to the east into DM99.
Depending on sleep/time/etc... the DM77, 87, and 97 row might be
activated also. We'll see. Safety first.
Back into the Denver area by way of DM78 and DM79 to close out the contest.
I'll post more route info on my website maybe a tenative timetable on my
website at http://www.natetech.com, after I get the driving schedule and
topo stuff fully together. We had some radio problems and it put me
behind this week, but struggling to catch up on the planning.
Photos of the rover and a map of the tenative route are up at
http://www.rhham.org in the Photos area. We'll continue to add more
info at both sites up until contest time.
Getting a real sked out of me might be hard, as I'm working just to FIND
some of the sites this time around. But I'll try to keep any skeds
requested.
73,
Nate WY0X/r (First year roving! Whoooo!)
[KR0VER will also be following along on the first portion of the route
on Saturday. (Nice call, huh?)]
