Greg, I think the answer to your question has been answered but I will add 
that I use the 2000X in the Rover and am using the 28mhz if @5 watts to 
drive my elecraft 222 transverter and it all works well in the rover. I do 
not use the Transverter function as I do not find it useful and messes up 
the freq reading on other bands etc.
