I was getting erroneous results from the web version of SPLAT:
At all frequencies the path profile gave identical path losses.  These results 
appeared to be correct for 146.0 MHz and wrong for all other frequencies.  
Presumably, the other program options worked properly.

Bill, W5GFE, has now corrected this and it appears to be working properly now.  
The free space path losses over a 150 km path now match within 1 db the path 
loss from the VHF/UHF Handbook (M0CGN).

If you used the web page to calculate path losses (path profile) for 
frequencies other than 146.0,  you should rerun them.

Many thanks to Bill, W5GFE,  for this valuable resource and for his quick 
response in fixing the problem.
