55 QSOs x 20 grids for 1,100 here.
A real sleeper for the most part.
The coastal duct we had the previous 2 nights moved away.
I didn't work a single W4!
TNX to VE3CRU/R and WW1M/R providing rare FN04, FN54, FN44 grids.
And K8TVD EN91 for my best dx.
And Here's some no thanks as well:
Two very annoying "winning" strategies are now prevalent.
Those who self-spot themselves every 5 min on the internet.
You don't need a radio to work everyone on the prop logger.
And Thanks to all of you who glue yourselves right on
top of the calling frequency making it useless for others.
And to all of you that won't listen more than +/- 5 KHz
from the calling frequency because you are directly
supporting those other stinkers.
Most of the time I spent up on 432.120, which was a total
loser. So I tried 432.100 for awhile to try for some
missing grids. The other big FN31 guy is on 432.0985 all night.
As soon as I get a VE3Z? in ?N?3 trying to answer me another
FN31 guy gets 1.5 Khz above me and continuously jams me so we
can't complete the contact. I think his sole enjoyment
is jamming others, he never puts in any score to speak of.
A special thanks to him. I probably should have stayed on .100
and spent the rest of the night jamming him back but unlike him
I really want to work people. So I went back up to .120 and
worked no one because no one tunes up that far.
OK one more rant then I'll shut up.
A special thanks to the FN13 station who refuses
to work me even though we're an easy contact.
I can't help but notice you work all the internet guys.
OK I'm done now. Thanks to all who got on and especially
the 95 percent of you who are all really good sports.
(I do realize I'm no longer one of those, sorry about that).
And a big TNX to the sponsors for all their hard work.
I'll try to get on for the uwave Sprint if I get over my
sour grapes and convince myself it's not totally pointless.
Thanks for listening. I'll take my medication and go away now.
-73, Ron WZ1V FN31mp.
