Some very good discussions represented here and I am enjoying the exchanges
although some people are not.
Obviously as a classic rover it has more interest for me than it might for
others. The complaint is acknowledged.
So I'll throw in a last comment and leave it at that.

If the rules are to be tweaked, all I ask is that we recognize that pack rovers
and grid circle operations are a legitimate part of the hobby. Although I don't
choose that method, their accomplishments are real. Please leave some way for
those guys to enjoy the contest also. From experience I know it takes a
tremendous effort and prior planning to put those stations on the road. There
is room in the hobby for all interest. There is no spirit of the intent etc.,
only the rules.

Those that say grid circle rovers are destroying the contest etc. etc. are
unfairly judging how others choose to enjoy the hobby. Limiting the number of
repeat contacts between rovers of ANY of the three classed to a low number
would push out a group that should be admired for their ingenuity, dedication,
and technical skills.

No matter if these guys beat me or not, I will continue to enjoy operating
rover, building my station up over time and handing out grids to fixed
stations. This stuff is FUN. And most important of all, I have seen no evidence
that others interest in operating rover is declining. I see more and more call
signs showing up.

Differing opinions are appreciated and respected. Thanks for the opportunity to
offer mine.
