Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I can't afford the time nor expense
of a major roving expedition. This contest will be similar to my January
2009 route which wasn't too bad. Because I have to work on Saturday, I'll
start in the parking lot of my employer in FM18 where I will operate for the
first hour of the contest.

Saturday night, I'll pick up my wife/logger (K4LIG) and we will run to the
intersection of FM07 and 17 in Louisa County VA. We will operate there
until we get too tired and head home for the night.

Sunday, we will run to Hogback Overlook on Skyline Drive in FM08us. We will
operate there for as long as the action is hot. We will then find some high
ground near Winchester VA to catch the corners of FM19 and 09. We have to
return home earlier than I would like but will set up on a hill near the QTH
for the last couple of hours in FM18.

This is a Limited Rover operation and I have pretty good antennas for the 4
lower bands. I've got 100 watts on 6 meters with a moxon, 200 watts on 2
meters with a Rover Special yagi. On 222, I've got a 60 watt output
transverter and another RS yagi. My amp on 432 is shot so I'm stuck with 35
watts there. I will have the dual bander monitoring FM simplex on 146.550
and .580.

I realize that with such a light schedule, SKEDS will be difficult. Believe
me, I'll be searching and pouncing a lot and if I hit a good 6 meter
opening, I'll be calling like a madman.

Good luck to all.

Steve
