Hi Doug,

I agree with your evaluation that the 3-el SteppIR with the 6m element is 
probably the way to go. I don't think you will suffer much degradation when 
comparing it to your current 5-element (assuming it is on an 18-ft boom or so). 
I've worked a number of these 3-el+1 SteppIRs on 6m and the stations using them 
were always strong.
