General rule of thumb (estimate without a lot of calculations) is that
doubling the number of elements will give you somewhere around 2.5 dB
increased gain. So, cutting that 19 element down to around 9 or 10 elements
should reduce the claimed original gain down about 2 dB. Of course the front
lobe will be opened up too (sometimes a good thing).
