The air is mighty thin to be Aeronautical mobile. 



I actually asked that question in a slightly different context a few months 
ago.  My premise was that the ISS should count as a separate DXCC entity.

While I don't see a specific "bar" to counting such a contact in the SVHFS's 
Rules (other than the challenge of the ISS figuring out which Grid to report), 
I'd note that, in the "General Rules for ARRL Contests Above 50 MHz", Rule 1.7 
states: "Aeronautical mobile contacts do not count" and a similar restriction 
is given as 4 (d) in the "VHF/UHF Century Club Award Rules". 
  
Is the International Space Station "Aeronautical mobile"? Is this another 
"clause" that should be considered for the ARRL Contest and VUCC Rules?
